Sitting here, waiting for,
Someone calling at my door,
Too bad,
I'm getting out of love.

What's the use of changing things,
Wonder what tomorrow brings,
Who knows?
I'm getting out of love.

My Shangri-la has gone away,
Faded like the Beatles on Hey Jude
She seemed to drift out on the rain
That came in somewhere softly from the blue...

Clouds roll by and hide the sun,
Raindrops falling on everyone,
So sad,
I'm getting out of love.

My Shangri-la has gone away,
Faded like the Beatles on Hey Jude
She seemed to drift out on the rain
That came in somewhere softly from the blue...

So now it's getting late,
For those who hesitate,
Got no one.
But they don't understand
And no one hears the sound,
It's like a waterfall,
It's an illusion.

Love is all, waterfall,
Love is what you are.
Pulls you in, takes you down,
It's a sad affair.
But you know, as you hold back the power there,
Without the friends and lovers you could never go on living.

Across the waterfall,
That's falling evermore, down on you.
Cascading through the days
And flowing on its way,
That's how it has to be,
Just an illusion.

Love is all, waterfall,
Love is what you are.
Pulls you in, takes you down,
It's a sad affair.
But you know, as you hold back the power there,
Without the friends and lovers you could never go on living.

Hey again.

Hey, it's actually me "updating." Not much to update on, though, just going to school, the usual.  Does anyone actually still use Xanga? If you do, leave a comment on my post, so I can see the demographic of people I know who still use it. See ya.

So, yeah, I just thought I'd update my xanga, since I haven't in about a million years. Nothing's really going on in my life right now, I'm still in school, and trying to quit smoking.

I think I've finally figured out what I want to do when I get out of school: become a Foreign Service Officer for the State Department. I just think it'd be so cool to work in embassies overseas. Specifically, I want to be a Consular Officer. Consular Officers are the people who help out American citizens overseas, like if they lose their passport or they're in trouble with local police or whatever. I'll get to help my fellow American citizens when they need it most, and I'll get to travel to many different places and learn about new cultures. Now all I have to do is learn more languages besides French, like Farsi and Mandarin Chinese. I had also been thinking about changing my major to government and minoring in French, and  now I think I'm actually going to do that. What I'm not sure about is going to Army Officer Candidate School after I graduate. I'm seriously considering it, though.

I've also started working out since I've quit smoking, and I'm really sore.

That's pretty much all the news.

Say You Will

Somethin' in you brought out somethin' in me, that I've never been since
That part of me that was only for you,
That kind of romance
Comes only once, that kind of love
That kind of fever dance
That you love because you become someone else in an instant

Say you will, say you will give me one more chance
At least give me time to change your mind
That always seems to heal the wounds, if I can
Get you to dance

Somethin' in you put a hold on my heart
It's hard to believe now
Here in the place that will never be dark
I remember that place...
That kind of touch, electricity of love
That certain kind of grace
That you love because you become someone else in an instant

Say you will, say you will give me one more chance
At least give me time to change your mind
That always seems to heal the wounds, if I can
Get you to dance

Hey everyone, sorry I haven't updated in so long. School's made me kinda busy...Actually, not really, I just haven't remembered to update. Morehead is fine, it's just kinda boring. Classes are going well, as far as I can tell, though I did sleep through my history class today. Not a huge deal, though.

So, yeah, not a lot has been going on, just going to Ashland or Lexington every weekend. I'll try to remember to update again soon.
